The Wausau Nordic Ski Club meeting on Thursday, February 16, 2012 will feature Gigi Heinz, yoga instructor, who will present a program on Yoga for Skiers.

She will demonstrate and instruct those attending in yoga techniques which can benefit skiers, for stretching, strength and balance. The meeting will be held at Nine Mile Forest Chalet at 7:00PM. Please bring a mat of some type to use on the floor during the program, and wear comfortable clothing. Those attending are asked to bring a dessert of some type to pass, as this is our annual Chocolate Night for Valentine’s Day. Badger State Games

Many thanks for all of the help puting on the Badger State Games!  All of the snow shoveling paid off big time. We recived many, many comments on how wounderful our trails were.

Thanks for Helping With the Free Ski Lessons

Thank you for your very appreciated help with the Wausau Nordic ski club free ski lessons.

This year due to the slow start from low snow attendance was down. We gave 141 skier lessons, which is very good.

Having less students made registration easier, equipment did not totally run out, and it was great to send two instructors out with some classes.

I sure hope we can have a "surplus" of instructors again next year.
